Itinerary

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, you head out for your first game drive across the open savannah, offering excellent chances to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and other plains game as the sun sets over the Mara.

This day is spent exploring the Maasai Mara on a full-day game drive, starting early when wildlife is most active. You traverse different sections of the reserve with a picnic lunch in the bush, enjoying close encounters with predators such as lions and cheetahs, large herds of wildebeest and zebras, and a rich variety of birdlife.

After breakfast, you depart the Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in the afternoon. An afternoon game drive takes you around the soda lake and surrounding woodlands, where you may see flamingos along the shoreline (seasonal), as well as white and black rhinos, buffaloes, and the rare Rothschild giraffe.

Wake up for breakfast followed by a transfer to Lake Naivasha. After lunch, you relax with a boat ride on the lake or a guided nature walk at Crescent Island, where you can walk among grazing giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a calm lakeside setting.

After breakfast at your lodge in Lake Naivasha, you begin a leisurely drive back to Nairobi. Along the way, you enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley before being dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of a memorable 5-day Kenyan safari experience.
