Day begins with pick up at your hotel or airport. Later proceed on a 4-hour drive to Lake Mburo, the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks, with over 300 bird species, like the black-bellied bustard, and probably the best place to view acacia-associated birds, among others. While on a game drive or a guided walking safari, expect to see zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, oribi, giraffes, defassa waterbuck, leopard, topi, and reedbuck, among others. When you arrive, you may consider doing a night game drive, which is optional at a cost of $30, especially if you want to see nocturnal animals among others, including hyenas, snakes, and leopards that are rare and shy. Although they can be spotted during the day, they are most active at night. Or else spend your time relaxing at the accommodation after that long drive.
